Cura CAMOuflage - HEALING, RISKS AND CONTRAINDICATIONS

CuraCamouflage is the Curative Ink™ brand and style of tattooing with pigment, be it to camouflage skin anomalies like scars and stretchmarks, or more decorative style body art tattooing. These are considered permanent procedures where fine needles deposit ink into the dermis layer of the skin adding natural color and skin tones resulting in a camouflage effect.

• Skin will feel tender, swollen, or tight.
• Mild redness, mild scabbing, and some flaking are normal in the coming week particularly at days 4 and 5.
• Keep area clean, dry, and protected—no picking no soaking and no perspiration from exercise especially in the first 3 days.

• Most surface healing is complete.
• Color may appear faded or patchy as skin regenerates.
• Itching is common—do not scratch.

•  Skin is fully healed.
• Final color settles and blends.
• Touch-ups (if needed) can be assessed.

• Infection: If aftercare isn’t followed bacteria can enter the skin. We use only sterile single use needles.
• Allergic Reaction: Some clients may react to pigments, numbing agents, latex gloves or bandage adhesives
• Scarring: Picking at scabs can lead to permanent scarring.
• Uneven Pigment Retention: Healing can result in patchiness or color fading in certain areas.
• Color Changes: Over time, pigment may shift in tone (e.g., from brown to reddish or grayish hues). 

Clients should consult a physician if they have:

• Active skin conditions: Eczema, psoriasis, or dermatitis near the brow area.
• Blood disorders: Including hemophilia or clotting issues.
• Autoimmune diseases: That affect skin healing or increase infection risk.
• Pregnancy or breastfeeding: Due to hormonal changes and sensitivity.
• Recent cosmetic treatments: Like chemical peels, Botox, or laser near the procedure area. 

The FDA (Federal Food and Drug Administration) will at times publish information related to tattooing but it’s critical to note that tattoo inks, dyes and pigments have not been approved by the FDA and the health consequences of using these products are unknown. At Curative Ink™ we strive to use top quality products. 

Tattooing involves inserting pigment into the skin using fine needles. This includes ISR, SMP, Microblading, Microshading, and Micropigmentation. It is considered permanent as pigment remains in the skin for years and may not ever fully fade without professional removal. It’s important to acknowledge you are receiving a procedure with lasting effects and accept responsibility for this decision.
