CURACARE

CuraMicroblading Aftercare

General aftercare indicates that for the first 48 hours for all procedures please restrict physical activity, avoid being submersed in water such as when bathing or recreational water activities.  Avoid gardening and contact with animals.

First Few Days (Days 1–7) — Critical Healing Window

  • Keep the area clean and dry for the first 24–48 hours.
  • Use a damp cotton pad with sterile water to gently blot away lymph fluid 3–4× daily in the first two days.
  • Avoid soaking — no swimming, saunas, steam rooms, tanning or long showers.
  • No makeup or skincare on the brow area.
  • Avoid products with acids, retinol, or exfoliants.
  • Hands off — don’t touch, rub, or pick at the brows.
  • Moisturize only as directed by your technician (thin layer of recommended ointment if using the “wet healing” method).
  • Protect from sweat — no workouts.
  • Shield from sun — wear a hat if outdoors.

After the First Week (2 Weeks and Beyond)

  • Most flaking is complete; brows may look lighter or uneven while pigment continues settling under the skin.
  • Resume gentle cleansing and normal skincare around, but not directly on, the brows until fully healed.
  • Avoid exfoliants, active skincare ingredients, and direct sun exposure.
  • Start applying SPF on brows daily once advised by your technician.
  • No chemical peels, laser treatments, or other aggressive facial procedures until after the touch‑up.
  • Expect the touch‑up appointment at 4–6 weeks to refine shape, density, and color.
  • Maintain pigment long‑term with sun protection and gentle skincare.

Infection

Although many paramedical procedures result in redness, swelling and tenderness at the procedure site particularly in the first days, it's important to note that these symptoms can also be signs of infection.

Additional symptoms can include red streaks going from the procedure site toward the heart, elevated body temperature, or purulent drainage from the procedure site.

Seek medical care if you experience these signs and symptoms.
