At Curative Ink, we are dedicated to providing a safe, transparent process with the correct expectations set in advance.
Patch testing helps determine if there is sensitivity to products we use in our paramedical tattooing services.
$0 TOPICAL Patch-Test
In the consultation, if the client has reasonable confidence to move forward with one of our services, we offer a free patch-test for sensitivity. This involves topically applying a small amount of serum, ink, pigment, or barrier cream under an adhesive bandage, and viewing the skin result 24-48 hours later. This has to be done minimally a few days prior to your service.
$75 NEEDLED Patch-Test (applied toward price of the service, non-refundable)
In the consultation, if the client has reasonable confidence to move forward with one of our services, we offer a patch-test for sensitivity and for color matching.
Patch-testing for color matching has to be done 4 weeks+ prior to the service.
Patch-testing for sensitivity has to be done 1 week+ prior to the service.
The preparation for a patch test using the tattoo device requires nearly the same amount of preparation and clean-up as the actual service. This is why we charge a fee.
